LAURA KAY is a Brooklyn-based actor, singer, and writer from Circleville, OH, a town that is literally obsessed with pumpkins. She holds a BA in Theatre and History from Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH, where she wore many hats writing, directing, and acting in plays, musicals, and short films. Laura’s initial interest in women’s ever-evolving role in the entertainment industry was sparked when she wrote her Honors Thesis on women in Restoration Theatre. Since then, she has shifted her gaze to more contemporary social issues and is primarily interested in creating theatre that empowers women. She has performed in several productions, readings, and cabarets in NYC and holds an MFA in Acting from the Actors Studio Drama School. Favorite roles include Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray, April in Savage in Limbo, and Rosemary in Rosemary With Ginger.
